E Começamos a temporada de prêmios de 2026

Seus vencedores são escolhidos por votação interna e contemplam tanto o cinema quanto a TV, com um número maior de indicados em categorias principais, o que torna a disputa mais ampla e representativa. A premiação busca refletir o consenso da crítica especializada, valorizando desempenho artístico, direção e qualidade narrativa.
Na temporada de prêmios, o Critics Choice funciona como um ‘termômetro estratégico’, ajudando a consolidar favoritos e a orientar campanhas rumo ao Oscar e ao Emmy. Suas vitórias costumam influenciar a percepção da indústria e do público, sendo frequentemente usadas no marketing de filmes e séries. Embora não seja decisivo por si só, o prêmio tem papel fundamental na construção de narrativas e no fortalecimento de obras que chegam com fôlego às etapas finais das grandes premiações.
Na edição de 2026, temos muito a comentar: Sinners, dirigido por Ryan Coogler, que recebeu 17 indicações, incluindo as principais categorias como Melhor Filme, Melhor Diretor e Melhor Ator para Michael B. Jordan — ficando apenas uma indicação abaixo do recorde de 18 alcançado por Barbie em 2024; Na televisão, foi a série limitada da Netflix Adolescence que mais chamou atenção, com seis indicações, incluindo categorias de atuação. Isso a colocou na frente de outras produções importantes do ano televisivo.
Esta edição também foi marcante para o cinema brasileiro: o ator Wagner Moura foi indicado em duas categorias — Melhor Ator por O Agente Secreto e Melhor Ator Coadjuvante em série limitada/filme para TV por sua atuação em Ladrões de Drogas — além do filme O Agente Secreto estar na disputa de Melhor Filme Internacional.

Considerações Pós Prêmio: Os prêmios relacionados a televisão seguiram o padrão de premiações anteriores, como o Emmy.
Em relação a cinema, foi uma premiacao tanto previsivel quanto surpreendente: ‘Pecadores’ e ‘uma batalha atrás da Outra’ cimentaram suas potências para a temporada, seja no quesito narrativo ou técnico. Muitos dos prêmios que na temporada de 2025 foram para a equipe de Wicked, como previsto, foram sucedidas por Frankenstein
Apesar disso, desde a vitória de Amy Madigan a decisão de cortar algumas premiações (incluindo a vitória de Agente Secreto pra “filme internacional”), a premiação deixou muitos entusiastas surpresos
